A Report on “The True Meaning of the Gospel and Acts in Arabic”
Dear Brother Mazhar Mallouhi,
Greetings to you, I would like to share with you some reactions on the book. Personally, I will write the feedback I got from the people on ground who read the book, and then I will end by saying my reaction.
I have given the book to both Muslim and Christian readers, and the book was very well received by both communities here. Let me share what people have said:
A fanatic Christian said to me after reading the Book, “Even though I am against reaching Muslims with Islamic literature and terminology, I have found this book so interesting, the way it presents the facts – Christian teaching – in a terminology that is very well accepted by both religions. It is very interesting and now I have no problem sharing this book with Muslim friends freely.”
A doctor who comes from an Islamic background after reading the book told me, “It is a very interesting book, I want to keep it, and I have learned a lot of things through it. This book was with me at home and office, I could not leave it till I finished it.” He was interested in the articles in the beginning of the book, and the terminology that was presented in the book. He continued saying, “It gave me a clear picture of the Christian teaching, and I could see many similarity between the two religions.”
Personally, as a pastor of a church in Middle East, I was very happy to find such a Bible translated in a language that fits our setting. The terminology is perfect to fit the mind and the understanding of the people around here. Now they can understand the Bible without any misunderstanding, the concepts are clear, and I will be very proud to share this book with all the people in my culture and region.
I am waiting for the other book which is coming to complete the whole NT, and I know that other people are also waiting for it. I will be traveling through the Middle East countries, and I will carry copies of this book to introduce it to other churches and groups of believers wherever I go.
I introduced the Book to the Bible Society in Jordan, and they are having copies of it, and there are a lot of people who are asking for such a translation which fits the need of many people who are looking for a better understanding of the Bible and the teaching of Christianity.
May God bless you always, and may God use you always for His glory.
Yours in Christ,
Jony Hajaj
